Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow... Frosty the snowman... I'm dreaming of a white Christmas... He's mister white Christmas, he's mister snow... Obviously snow has been on my mind for the past few weeks.I love it. I want it. I need it. I will not be completely and fully 100% happy until I get it. Yes, there is snow up the mountain, which is only a 30 minute drive for me. But I'm talking open the front door and seeing only white covering my yard. Honestly, I go through this feeling every year and the results are always the same...a light dusting of snow that lasts no more than 16 hours. In the spring and summer , mixing prints was al l the rage. As you can probably tell from magazines and fashion shows, that trend is here to stay a while longer. Jus t the other day I tried some mixing with an outfit similar to this... I thought it turned out pretty cut e, I'll hav e to snap a picture and replace this picture for the real thing. But I wanted to take stripes to a different level and mix it up with something f resh that we don't see a lot of. This one can be a bit tricky though if you start adding in too much color or too large/too small spots and stripes.    Is it just me or is it extremely hot right now? The bathtub is going to start taking the #1 spot on my daily to do list. Fill tub with cool water, put on bathing suit, grab a margarita, and relax. That's how hot I am! I don't swim in public pools...it really grosses me out thinking of how many little children have peed in it with a smile on their face. Friday I may need to hit up the beach, and definitely once or twice next week.     With temperatures continuing to rise, along with the humidity level, I've come to find that I want to wear as little amount of clothes as possible. Lately that means a dress, a loose maxi skirt and tank, or a skirt and tank, and I refuse any type of denim until further notice. Don't get me wrong, I love summer time, I just wish my Italian A/C would work a little better. Can You Feel The Love by polkadotlife featuring heart rings    Valentine's Day is right around the corner and love is blossoming in stores all around us. When I think of February 14th, my mind is filled with roses, cupid, diamonds, hearts, lace, frills, bows, and of course pink, red, and gold. Personally, my favorite item in the set above is the red heart print dress which would pair well with the gold sequin pumps.  I really wanna WOW my husband this year and do something for him. Typically I'm always the one getting pampered, gifts, all the mushy stuff...not hubs.  Here are a few ideas I'm pondering over... I came across this July 2008 ELLE cover shoot and of course fell in love and thought, yes...I need a dress like this! Looking at old magazine covers or pictures just proves that trends do come and go, but some elements of fashion and style are always classic. For daytime wearing, you could switch out the platforms for flats or strappy sandals with a lower heel. I would loose the belt, go for the blazer undone, and throw on a few bracelets instead of piling on necklaces.

Spring is right around the corner and I can't wait because there are so many great trends that I can't wait to take part in.  1. Color blocking ...never has been my thing, but as part of the new year I'm going to take risks even if I am unsure. 2. Structured Handbag's have always peaked my interests, but I don't have any bags this sleek. Of course a little metallic adds in a piece of fun and glam to!  3. The Star Print fad has gotten to me and I now want it 4. Sequin Shorts are perfect for a spring/summer night out, these will be next since I've already ordered the leather ones.  5. The Hunger Games is an awesome trilogy and YES this bracelet is not only inspired by the books/movie but it's also fashionable. Sort of reminds me of the southwestern trend 6.
